We are all children being moved by hormones, emotions, material, fleshly, or mental desires which lead us to interact with others for companionship and fleshly relations, then we begin to feel we are missing out on something and leave or we become educated to become a well paid professional only to discover its not what we thought it would be and leave or we develop ways to steal or mislead others that we might acquire what we desire only to find it does not satisfy us. What is missing? Some men and women have lived 10 times the nominal years lived today, yet they experienced much of the same emptiness in their lives. What was missing then is still true today.
We are all missing something that would cause our lives to be satisfying. We are all missing something that will make us feel completely at peace and able to enjoy a deep sense of security and lasting satisfaction. God created us to live a life similar to a farm life, while we extended the boundaries of the area blessed by God called the Garden of Eden. He did not intend to speak with Adam for some 70 or 80 years then move on, He told Adam to become many, fill the Earth and subdue it, extend Edens land area to engulf the whole Earth. This would require some time set apart to do God’s Will. This may all seem like a fairy tale to many, they have not experienced the spirituality that is a key to contentment, satisfaction and peace. The Bible reflects the Mind of God Jehovah and His Son, Jesus who became the Christ. Jesus stated a step in finding what is missing in human life today at Matthew 5:3 : “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the Kingdom of the heavens belongs to them.”
Today, Adamic Death is always close to each of us, we may not see it until late in life, but it is there. Many have made a living off the knowledge that we are searching for something that will bring the perfect mind and body. The Bible alludes to what we are missing at Genesis 3: 22. “Jehovah God then said: “Here the man has become like one of us in knowing good and bad. Now in order that he may not put his hand out and take fruit also from the tree of life and eat and live forever,—””
God said to Jesus : Adam and Eve could live forever as man and woman, not in Heaven with God and Jesus, no, right here, outside of Eden. That will make life longer like those spoken of earlier, but there is still something missing that will make us happy, satisfied, at peace. Eden was a place of Peace & Security, knowing there is an omnipotent God taking care of you is a very calming thought.Adam could ask God a question and hear God answer him, there was no question that God existed to him. What about us today, can we or should we expect that such a God wants to speak to us or take care of us? Lets see what in this world can answer that question. See Acts 3:21, Re.21:3-5
The Bible is proven to be the ONLY HOLY BOOK INSPIRED BY GOD. God has foretold many future events to men and women, that others living at that future time saw come true. These events are called prophesies, speaking about future events, that become history. Many saw Jesus fulfill many of these that involved his birth and early travels. The Bible is full of these, some are spoken and others involve the lives of people that illustrate what will occur, a prophetic parallel. Many people have written what they saw and have become witnesses of God and the truthfulness of what He speaks. God spoke many of these prophesies through Jesus, many of these are being fulfilled in our lifetimes, we are witnesses of the truthful sayings of God. We can trust what the Bible says. Mtt.24:7-14, 2 Tim. 3:1-5,13
In fact the Bible states that God cannot lie, He hates the lie and the liars. When God speaks, whatever it is, it is true or it will come true. Imagine this, in the eons upon eons of time, when only God and hundreds of millions of angels lived their lives, the first lie spoken was an angel to a newly created woman some 6000 years ago! Amazing!
This is the theme of the Bible, how mankind will find lasting life and happiness. Hebrews 12:2 speaks about Jesus and what he kept close in mind while he was beaten and nailed to a stake: ” as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus. For the joy that was set before him he endured a torture stake, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Jesus was able to reach out and grab hold of his future by enduring what happened to him. We are in the same situation, if we extend ourselves we can grab hold of what is missing. It is in our power, for every inch we reach out, Jehovah will shorten the distance to our goals. How can we escape death and live forever and enjoy all God has made for our flesh and intellectual enjoyment? How can the elderly regain their youth and vigor? How can the blind see, the deaf hear and the lame regain their legs? When will billions of people who hoped in God be resurrected to life again as they were promised? Daniel 12:13 Who knows how we can get what we need to live forever in eternal peace and security? The One God who inspired forty men over some 1600 years to write the Bible, tells us how to acquire what is missing in our lives today and how we can live forever in eternal peace and happiness in the future. In the past they had to :
Read the Bible and become knowledgeable of the person of God
Read the Bible and become knowledgeable of the angel that God sent to become our sinless forefather in place of Adam.
Read the Bible and become knowledgeable of the will of God and why He created living fleshly creations on Earth, while He created spirit lives in Heaven.
Next develop a relationship the person of God, seeking His forgiveness for Adamic sin while applying His knowledge and wisdom to your life. In becoming a foot step follower of Christ Jesus a person dedicates their life to God in prayer and makes a public baptism that the world may know you are dedicated to God, dedicated to do God’s Will above your own, just as Jesus did.
Then spend decades preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom that the world may find what is missing in their lives and be able to join the ranks of those doing God’s Will.
Today, because of the nearness of the foretold Great Day of Jehovah and the revealing of the knowledge of what we are missing, He has enabled ways to speed up the journey that leads to a truthful relationship with Him and millions of others who have started before you, it is a lot easier to read, watch or listen to short publications that use the Bible as the touchstone of truth, respecting God and acting as witnesses of God today.
