The world today is full of scams. Some want your money, others want you, your allegiance, your support, just a number to make the group larger and take on a life of it’s own. Some of them are so popular they come back over and over in different ways. The first scam took place somewhere near modern day Far East Turkey. What is the Halloween Scam? It is a scam of the darkest origins, it’s participants unknowingly choose to resist God and support the Devil. Can it be that serious?
Where did the practice come from? You can read or listen to the origins here. On the outside it may seem like good, clean fun, but that’s why it such a good scam. So who are the players here? The first scam seemed to offer a great life with the option to say what is right and wrong. Doesn’t that sound appealing? Satan offered Eve just that, no strings attached, just eat the fruit and you will become like God. This now made Satan a outlaw, a resister against the Sovereignty of Jehovah God. He became God’s enemy and adversary he is the main player,but he is not alone.
There were then millions of angels in heaven, all Satan’s brothers. How would they feel about this? Did any of them have a desire to side with Satan? In Heaven, Jehovah God is the center of all life. He is the Creator. He is the Law Giver, deciding what is wrong and right. Angels assemble before the throne of God regularly to Honor Jehovah and receive tasks from Him. He allows them to give input on the best way to accomplish these.This way of life has been Peaceful and productive for billions or trillions of years. See Job 1:6
Jehovah could have destroyed Satan, Adam and Eve at that moment. However, in His infinite Wisdom He did not. He allowed things to play out that He might see Who is with Him and Who, in time, is against Him. Too, the passage of six thousand years has shown that Men cannot rule over other men. There will never be complete Peace and Security while under Satan’s influence of the World’s Rulers. What is the Halloween Scam? the Players
The Bible makes it clear that Satan is still the adversary of everyone that wants to please God. What are the goblins, ghost and witches idolized on Halloween? Demons are behind these things. Demons are spirit creatures, angels, which were once living in Heaven with Jehovah and Jesus. They have rebelled against them just as Satan has and were cast out of Heaven. There are no such things as ghost; they are demons pretending to be dead humans. Witchcraft and Black Magic are heavily influenced by demons who; enjoy causing fear and trembling, even pain and death among men. The Bible warns people not to get involved in these practices. Leviticus 20:27 “‘Any man or woman who acts as a spirit medium or is a fortune-teller should be put to death without fail. The people should stone them to death. Their own blood is upon them’” See 1 Peter 5:8
What is the Halloween Scam? the Consequences
Satan and the demons have caused so many people to suffer from what seems like innocent fun. However if a person, adult, chooses to associate with enemies of God can they be innocent? Jehovah God wants you to enjoy a good relationship with Him. To become a friend of God.In any relationship if you cheat, it damages the relationship. to aid us in being faithful, He has illustrated things in His Word that are dangerous to our friendship. The first priesthood and religious meetings were brought about so that men and women could see God’s point of view and try to conform to it, not the other way around. Even in this Satan saw a great opportunity, He caused men to worship all kinds of things and they called them gods. Did you know that in the years 700-800 B.C.E. people decorated trees in worship, sound familiar? The point is that many things in the world around us are seen as repulsive to the Almighty God, Jehovah, and we should feel about them as He does. Isn’t that the goal for a christian to take on the mind of the Christ, to walk in His Way, to follow His Steps Closely? When you see Jack o Lanterns, Ghosts, Goblins,Witches and Black Magic Think: Who is behind this Satan or Jehovah? Would any of what God hates have a place in our homes? Would any of these have a place in a building of worship? 1 Corinthians 10:21 reads YOU cannot be drinking the cup of Jehovah and the cup of demons; YOU cannot be partaking of “the table of Jehovah” and the table of demons. What is the Halloween Scam? the Rewards
The rewards of watching who or what you associate with is a better relationship with Jehovah God. This better relationship allows for greater faith because you have the knowledge that you have been careful, keeping His standards of friendship to the fore. Jehovah has set up a way to deal with governing the Earth and blessing all His friends. It is called the Kingdom of God. Jesus told his early followers that 144,000 of them would be invited by God to rule over the people on Earth as Kings and Priests. All those thrones have been filled by now, the rest of us will be allotted a place to live in an ever growing Paradise Earth Forever. Jehovah God is a God of Order as brought at 1 Corinthians 14:33.
