The Almighty God Jehovah states He Will Tolerate No Rivalry

Lets consider these four verses and think about how they relate to our theme “He Will Tolerate No Rivalry”  Nu.25:11 “Phinʹe·has the son of El·e·aʹzar the son of Aaron the priest has turned my wrath away from the people of Israel because he tolerated no rivalry at all toward me among them

Ex.20:5  You must not bow down to them nor be enticed to serve them, for I, Jehovah your God, am a God who requires exclusive devotion, bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon sons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation of those who hate me.

Ex.23:24 You must not bow down to their gods or be persuaded to serve them, and you must not imitate their practices. Instead, you must demolish them and smash their sacred pillars

Deut 12:30 “ be careful not to be entrapped after they have been annihilated from before you. Do not ask about their gods, saying, ‘How were these nations accustomed to serve their gods? I too will do the same.’ ” Jehovah taught the descendants of Abraham, that He did not want them to marry foreigners because they would introduce foreign gods and practices. They could not worship other gods and the Almighty God Jehovah, it’s one or the other, not both. Today the Christian Leaders have added bits and pieces of the worship of foreign gods into Christian living. These practices cause them to be unacceptable to Jehovah, He views them as pagans, ignoring their prayers, just as He does everyone that does not read and apply the Bibles guidelines.

No Rivalry:

Should Mary Be Venerated?

Churches that venerate Mary have set her up as a rival of Jehovah God. Jehovah, the Rock, has not changed. He has the same principles as the days He inspired the verses to be written. He it is that defines His will for us, not the other way around.

Isaiah 48:17.18  This is what Jehovah says, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel: “I, Jehovah, am your God,
The One teaching you to benefit yourself,
The One guiding you in the way you should walk.
18 If only you would pay attention to my commandments!
Then your peace would become just like a river
And your righteousness like the waves of the sea”

If we would want to please Him with your worship we must weed out untruths and misconceptions. What does it matter? A day has been set by God to bring an end to the current conditions we live in. See Acts 17:31. On that Day He will assign Jesus to Separate People into two groups with two different outcomes.

Matthew 25:31-46 “When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit down on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will put the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right: ‘Come, you who have been blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world. 35 For I became hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you received me hospitably; 36 naked and you clothed me. I fell sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you visited me.’ 37 Then the righteous ones will answer him with the words: ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and receive you hospitably, or naked and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 In reply the King will say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left: ‘Go away from me, you who have been cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels. 42 For I became hungry, but you gave me nothing to eat; and I was thirsty, but you gave me nothing to drink. 43 I was a stranger, but you did not receive me hospitably; naked, but you did not clothe me; sick and in prison, but you did not look after me.’ 44 Then they too will answer with the words: ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying: ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of these least ones, you did not do it to me.’ 46 These will depart into everlasting cutting-off, but the righteous ones into everlasting life.”

In prayer to His Father the night before his death, Jesus asked at John 17:17 “Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth”. We must worship Jehovah God in truth as it has been established and incorporate new facts that are brought to light. The fact that Jehovah will tolerate no rivalry has been established, it behooves us to believe Him and move on in building faith and worship Him in the way He deserves and outlines.

Those who have tried to live by Jehovah’s principles, sheep-like, easy to lead, will be invited to live on the Earth under His Rulership and His Kingdom. He will continue to teach us through Jesus and 144,000 that He has chosen to help us enjoy the Best Life possible Eternally in Paradise on Earth. Luke 23:43 And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise”. Yes that criminal that was executed beside Jesus will be resurrected to Earthly life and given the same opportunity we have today, to learn and apply the knowledge given us by God and decide if we want to live eternally or do things our own way for a few short years.

This highlights the verse at John 17:3 “This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.”

Is Mary Listed Here? No, Mary is no different from any other person that Jehovah singled out to accomplish His purpose. Like Noah or Moses or John the Baptist. If we would continue to ignore Bible truths, we would show ourselves to be goat-like, stubborn and unyielding. You can see how people are determining their future even today.

He Will Tolerate No Rivalry: Jesus?

Do you believe that every scripture was inspired by the same Almighty God? Do feel that God’s righteousness would require truth in all inspired scripture? Consider John 4:23,24 Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for indeed, the Father is looking for ones like these to worship him. 24  God is a Spirit, and those worshipping him must worship with spirit and truth.” It is evident that truth is very important to God.

Isaiah 43:10 states “You are my witnesses, ”declares Jehovah, “Yes, my servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and have faith in me. And understand that I am the same One. Before me no God was formed, And after me there has been none. Did Jehovah elevate Jesus to a position equal to Almighty God after his death on Earth? No, Jehovah promises at  Isaiah 43:10 that there will never be another Almighty God other than Himself, Jehovah, for all eternity in the past and future. Consider our theme and the worship people give Jesus today.

The Almighty God Jehovah states He Will Tolerate No Rivalry

Deuteronomy 4:24  For Jehovah your God is a consuming fire, a God who requires exclusive devotion.

In many churches today, people worship a trinity or worship Jesus as God. They may feel that they are worshipping God through Jesus in their minds. However they are making their worship invalid, because Bible truth supports the fact that Jehovah God is a separate individual, the Only Almighty, the Only Sovereign Lord. Jesus (Michael was his pre-human angelic name) enjoys something every first-born does, seniority. Jesus has been with Jehovah longer than anyone else, he has done all he can to become just like Jehovah in all His Principles. Jesus aided Jehovah in creating everything, even other angels. Jesus as first-born wanted to stand up to defend his Fathers reputation against Satan’s accusations.

Directly after Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River, the Devil tried to defile him in God’s eyes, if Jesus had done as the Devil asked he would be unfit to offer his life as a sacrifice for our sins. One of the test was “No Rivalry.” this verse is at Matthew 4:8 Again the Devil took him along to an unusually high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to him: “All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him: “Go away, Satan! For it is written: ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.

The scriptures help us to understand that Jesus was a servant of Jehovah God that gave his best to honor Jehovah. Let us read Matthew 26:39 “‘And going a little way forward, he fell facedown, praying: “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me. Yet, not as I will, but as you will.‘”   On the night before his death, Jesus was concerned not with the fleshly life he knew he was give up, he was concerned with being put to death as a criminal, how this could reflect on Jehovah’s righteousness. We should honor Jesus, as a conscientious servant, that gave his best to his God and Father, Jehovah.

Noah, Moses and King David died in Jehovah’s service after many years of faithful service under trying circumstances. We do not revere them as equal to the God they served. Jesus should be thought of similarly, as a faithful servant of Jehovah God that gave his best. Heb.12:2.

Who Should Instruct Us on How Sensitive God is About “No Rivalry”? Is the Bible the Only Authority? Yes.  Could “No Rivalry” extend to Birthday’s Parties? Kneeling before Priests or Symbols like the Cross? What feeling do these next verses from the Bible give you?

The Apostle Peter was the first person sent by God to offer the Christian Religion to people outside of the Jewish Religion, the first of these was Cornelius a Roman Army Officer, he deeply respected the Apostle Peter as a man of God. These 2 verses describe that meeting.  Acts 10:25 As Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell down at his feet, and did obeisance to him. 26 But Peter lifted him up, saying: “Rise; I too am just a man.”

The Book of Revelation; is a book of prophesy of things that must take place shortly, which was given to the Apostle John by the resurrected Jesus Christ, who now enjoys eternal live as an angel in heaven. At Revelation 19:9 an angel is speaking with John, John states: And he tells me, “Write: Happy are those invited to the evening meal of the Lamb’s marriage.” Also, he tells me: “These are the true sayings of God.” 10 At that I fell down before his feet to worship him. But he tells me: “Be careful! Do not do that! I am only a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who have the work of witnessing concerning Jesus. Worship God! For the witness concerning Jesus is what inspires prophecy.”

John was corrected a second time at Revelation 22:8 Well I, John, was the one hearing and seeing these things. When I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing me these things. 9 But he tells me: “Be careful! Do not do that! I am only a fellow slave of you and of your brothers the prophets and of those observing the words of this scroll. Worship God.” Do these scriptures give you a feeling that Jehovah is serious about tolerating no rivalry?

We recognize that Jesus was resurrected to Heaven and was elevated to a position above everyone else, except Jehovah God. He will serve as King in God’s Kingdom under the Sovereignty of His Father, Jehovah. In harmony with our theme, all worship should be given to Jehovah God in harmony with Revelation 4:11  “You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they came into existence and were created.”

If we esteem anyone higher than this in our worship of God, we make our worship invalid. It would be better that we did not worship at all, than commit a spiritual sin by worshipping anyone other than God Almighty, Jehovah.
